Duo ARDA & ION

Project Duo Arda & Ion brings together two acclaimed young musicians, percussionist Ion Delić and pianist Arda Mustafaoglu – to showcase the rich and dynamic potential of the marimba, percussion instruments, piano, and electronics in a common environment. Through cross-genre creative processes, the idea of the project is to bridge the gap between classical music, improvisation, older music such as Bach and Domenico Scarlatti, and to shine a fresh light on them with elements of Balkan music, minimalism, and jazz.

With repertoire scoping from reworked compositions by J. S. Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Steve Reich, arrangements of Balkan folk songs, as well as original compositions, based on minimalistic principles coupled with baroque and Balkan influences, we offer an incredibly wide array of repertoire suitable for many contemporary as well as classical concert format settings.
