Who Am I?

I am a classical percussionist, composer, and educator based between Slovenia and Copenhagen. My current main focus is solo and chamber performance, with an emphasis on developing new marimba repertoire and adapting piano literature for the instrument.

    • Regular solo and chamber concerts and performances

    • Regular teaching online, having students from all over the world, mostly high school level, but also bachelor and master students (most students are from USA)

    • Composing original music and arrangements for marimba, vibraphone, and percussion ensembles

    • Member of Mathias Reumert Group since 2024

    • Experience in teaching percussion and piano in public and private music schools

    • Playing keyboards and singing back vocals with various funk, soul, jazz, R&B and pop bands (2018-2021)

  • Holding a master degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, Denmark, I have studied with the following mentors:

    • Anders Kann Elten (world renowned marimba specialist)

    • Johan Bridger (head professor at DKDM, soloist, chamber musician, orchestral percussionist, arranger)

    • David Hildebrandt (specialist in polyrhythms, established solo and chamber music performer and collaborator)

    • Søren Monrad (timpanist in Royal Danish Theatre of 30 years, head of percussion in odense

    • Jakob Weber (percussionist at the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra)

    • Henrik Thrane (current timpanist of the Danish Royal Theatre)

    I have attended masterclasses, clinics, and had lessons with some of the most established world-renowned percussionists, such as:

    I have acquired my bachelor degree at the Music Academy in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2023, under the mentorship of prof. Simon Klavzar (head of percussion at UL AG, chamber and orchestral musician).

    I am a high school graduate from the Conservatory for Music and Ballet Maribor, Slovenia, from the generation 2019, and have studied with prof. Martin Bajde, Dejan Ritlop, and Grega Gorensek.
